How to Watch Hurricanes, Blue Jackets, Wild and Blues Games in 2026-27, Now on DIRECTV
The four teams have new NHL-run channels this season. Here is every way to get them in each team’s territory, with DIRECTV channel numbers and the $19.99 streaming option.

The short answer
In each team’s home territory, games air on the team’s new channel: Hurricanes Hockey Network, Blue Jackets Hockey Network, Wild+ and Blue Note+. As of Oct. 24, 2026, you can get them through Spectrum, Fubo, DIRECTV (Choice package or higher, added Oct. 24) and AT&T U-verse (U200 or higher), or stream them on Prime Video for $19.99 a month or about $99 a season, with no Prime membership needed. None of the four teams lists Comcast Xfinity as a carrier.

DIRECTV channel numbers
DIRECTV signed a multi-year deal with the NHL on Oct. 24 to carry all four channels for streaming and satellite customers on Choice or higher, and for U-verse customers on U200 or higher, inside each team’s NHL home territory.

Carolina Hurricanes: Hurricanes Hockey Network
- Games: 72 of 84 regular-season games; the other 12 are national exclusives on ESPN, ABC, TNT or ESPN+.
- Prime Video: $19.99 a month or $99.99 for the season; a free Amazon account is enough.
- Cable and live TV: DIRECTV (Choice and up), Spectrum (Stream TV Pro or Stream TV VIP), Fubo (Pro and Elite plans) and Comporium.
- Free over the air: 10 Saturday games simulcast on WRAL/FOX 50 and Cox Media Group and Gray Media stations.
- Territory: all of North Carolina and South Carolina, most of Georgia and parts of Alabama.
Columbus Blue Jackets: Blue Jackets Hockey Network
- Games: the team says 82 games will be televised on the network.
- Prime Video: $19.99 a month; the season price is $99.99 in the team’s September FAQ and $99 in its Oct. 9 update. There is a 7-day free trial, and no Prime membership is required.
- Cable and live TV: DIRECTV (from Oct. 24), Spectrum (Stream TV Pro, TV VIP or Select) and Fubo. Breezeline had not agreed to carry the network as of the team’s Oct. 9 update.
- Free over the air: select games on local stations.
- Territory: most of Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky; in Ohio, Lucas County and the eastern counties along the Pennsylvania border are outside it.
Minnesota Wild: Wild+
- Games: most Wild games; select games air only on national partners such as ESPN and TNT.
- Prime Video: $19.99 a month or $99.99 a year, for every regular-season game that is not a national exclusive, plus the team’s locally produced first-round playoff games.
- Cable and live TV: DIRECTV (from Oct. 24), Spectrum TV throughout the territory, and Fubo (Fubo Pro or Fubo Sports).
- Free over the air: select Wild+ games on KSTP-5TV and KSTC-45TV; the team has not posted that schedule yet.
- Territory: check your ZIP code on the Wild’s broadcast page.
1:33St. Louis Blues: Blue Note+
- Games: 73 regular-season games.
- Prime Video: $19.99 a month or $99.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial. The Blues note that even Prime members need the add-on.
- Cable and live TV: DIRECTV (channel 673, Choice and up), U-verse (U200 and up), Spectrum (Stream TV Pro, Stream TV VIP or Select), Fubo (Pro or above), and smaller carriers: Grafton Technologies, Harrisonville Telephone, Highland Communication Services and Wabash Independent Networks in Illinois, and Midco in Kansas.
- Free over the air: 10 games simulcast on First Alert ABC, which are also on Blue Note+.
- Territory: Missouri, most of Illinois and Indiana, eastern Kansas and Iowa, according to the team; confirm your ZIP code on its site.
Monthly or season pass?
On Prime Video, five months at $19.99 cost $99.95, about what the season pass costs. The regular season runs from early October into April, so if you plan to watch from now through the end of the season, the season price is the better deal. If you only tune in for a stretch, or for the final push in March and April, pay monthly and cancel.
If you live outside the territory
Out-of-market games stream through the ESPN app on ESPN Select ($13.99 a month) or ESPN Unlimited ($31.99 a month), or on NHL Center Ice through a cable or satellite provider. When your team plays a rival in your area, that game counts as in-market for you and is blacked out on those packages.
What we don't know yet
- Whether Comcast Xfinity will add the channels. On Oct. 9 the Blues said Comcast had declined the terms other providers accepted.
- Whether Breezeline will carry the Blue Jackets; the team’s Oct. 9 update said talks were continuing.
- Fubo’s price for these channels in each market. The teams name the Fubo plans but not the cost.
- The Blue Jackets’ exact season price on Prime Video: $99.99 in the team’s FAQ, $99 in its Oct. 9 update.

Not as of Oct. 24, 2026. The Wild list Prime Video, Spectrum, Fubo and DIRECTV, and say the NHL is talking with other providers.
