The short answer
Three chains have confirmed National Sandwich Day deals on their own site or in their own release, and all three are for rewards members:
- Subway: buy a Footlong, get one free, in the app or online, through Nov. 8
- Capriotti’s: buy one sub, get one 50% off, on Nov. 3
- McAlister’s Deli: a $5 sandwich, through Nov. 3
Potbelly, Jimmy John’s, Firehouse Subs and Jersey Mike’s show up in deal roundups too. We couldn’t find those offers on the chains’ own pages yet, so they aren’t in the table.

Every confirmed deal needs an account
None of the three works if you just walk up to the counter.
Subway loads its deal into the Sub Club wallet in its app, and it only works on app and Subway.com orders. Capriotti’s and McAlister’s limit theirs to rewards members.
Signing up is free at all three. Do it before lunch, not in line: the deal has to be in your account when you order.
Which one is worth the most
That depends on what you order, since none of the chains publishes one fixed price.
Subway’s is the biggest discount if you’re buying for two: the second Footlong is free, as long as it costs the same or less than the first.
Capriotti’s takes half off the second sub, so it also pays only if you buy two.
McAlister’s is the one that works for a single lunch: one sandwich for $5.
The dates are not all Nov. 3
- Oct. 27 to Nov. 8: Subway, which moved its own Sandwich Day up a week
- Oct. 30 to Nov. 3: McAlister’s Deli
- Nov. 3 only: Capriotti’s
Why some chains aren’t on the list
Deal roundups list more chains, among them Potbelly, Jimmy John’s, Firehouse Subs, Jersey Mike’s, Schlotzsky’s and Penn Station.
When we checked on Nov. 2, none of those offers was on the chain’s own website or in a release from the chain. Many of these deals go out by app notification or email, so they may be real. We add a chain when it posts the terms itself.
What we don't know yet
- Potbelly’s 2026 offer. Last year it gave a free Original sandwich or wrap with the purchase of a Big or Original one.
- Jimmy John’s, Firehouse Subs, Jersey Mike’s, Schlotzsky’s and Penn Station: deal roundups report 2026 offers, but we didn’t find them on the chains’ own sites when we checked on Nov. 2. We looked again at Firehouse Subs, Potbelly and Jersey Mike’s around 10 p.m. ET that night: still no Sandwich Day offer on their home pages. Check each chain’s app before you order.
- Which items McAlister’s excludes from its $5 sandwich, and whether Capriotti’s needs a code; neither company spells it out on the pages we read.
When any of this is confirmed, it goes into the page and the update history below.
