Black Friday 2026 Sale Dates: Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Costco and Lowe’s
Black Friday is Friday, Nov. 27, but the sales start weeks earlier. Every event the big retailers have announced, in date order, with who gets in first.

The short answer
Black Friday is Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Nov. 30. But most big retailers start much earlier.
Lowe’s Black Friday deals began Oct. 29 and Costco’s first round Oct. 30. Target’s Early Black Friday runs Nov. 5–7, Best Buy’s early deals start Nov. 6 and Walmart’s first event is Nov. 12–15.
Walmart’s main Black Friday Deals event runs Nov. 23–29 and Best Buy’s Nov. 19–28. Amazon, Kohl’s and Macy’s haven’t announced 2026 dates yet.

How to read this calendar
Each row is one sale event, as the retailer announced it, sorted by start date.
The status changes by itself as the dates pass, so an event that’s over shows as ended instead of disappearing.
Where a store gave only a start date (Lowe’s and Best Buy’s weekly early deals), we show it that way rather than guess the end.
Early access is the real difference this year
The dates are only half the story. Several chains let paying members in first.
Walmart gives Walmart+ members its hot Deal drops at 12:01 a.m. ET on the first day of each Black Friday event, a day before everyone else, and holds some online-only deals for members for the first 24 hours. Walmart says Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus can be bought together this season for $120 a year.
Lowe’s lets MyLowe’s Rewards members shop its Black Friday Doorbusters online on Thanksgiving, a day early.
Best Buy gives My Best Buy Plus and Total members double rewards from Nov. 19 to Dec. 6.
Amazon hasn’t said whether Prime members get early access this year. Prime costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year, according to Amazon.
Buying early without regretting it
Two Best Buy policies make an early purchase less risky.
Its Holiday Price Match Guarantee says that if the price of a product sold by Best Buy drops during the holiday season, it will match it. Marketplace items are excluded.
Its extended holiday returns let most purchases made Oct. 30 through Dec. 31 come back through Jan. 15, 2027, or Jan. 31 for Plus and Total members.
The other retailers on this page hadn’t published 2026 holiday price-match or return terms when we checked.

- Amazon’s 2026 Black Friday Week dates and whether Prime members get early access. Its Black Friday guide gives no sale dates yet.
- Kohl’s, Macy’s, Sam’s Club and BJ’s 2026 Black Friday dates. Deal sites have published dates from ads, but we could not confirm them on a company page.
- Home Depot’s 2026 Black Friday sale dates. Deal sites report a Black Friday ad, but homedepot.com does not open for our checks; only its 6 a.m. Black Friday opening is confirmed.
- Black Friday store hours at Target, Best Buy and Lowe’s. Best Buy says it extends store hours starting Nov. 1 and lists them on each local store page.

Black Friday is Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving. Cyber Monday is Nov. 30. Most big retailers start their Black Friday sales weeks earlier: Lowe’s started on Oct. 29, Best Buy and Costco on Oct. 30.

Has Amazon announced its Black Friday 2026 dates?
Not yet. Amazon’s Black Friday guide, checked Nov. 2, confirms Black Friday is Nov. 27 and Cyber Monday Nov. 30 but gives no sale dates. Last year its Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday events ran Nov. 20 to Dec. 1, 2025.
Which stores are closed on Thanksgiving 2026?
Walmart, Best Buy, Costco, Lowe’s and Home Depot have said their stores will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26, and Target closes on Thanksgiving under a policy it made permanent in 2021. Several still offer deals online that day.
